Spread over a number of floors with numerous nooks and crannies, The Packhouse is a gorgeous place to browse. It’s based in an enchanting 400-year-old hop kiln that’s a Grade II listed building in Runfold, between Guildford and Farnham, Surrey. It’s one of those places where there’s something different to see every time you return. Indeed, it may take a few visits to be sure you’ve explored everywhere!

All products are beautifully set out and arranged by dozens of independent, mostly locally based, traders (so you’ll be supporting them, too) offering a hugely diverse range of eclectic items. Think furniture, ceramics, decorative items, mirrors, vintage fashion accessories, chandeliers art, collectibles, gifts, candles and bric-a-brac. It’s an Aladdin’s Cave of one-off treasures you wouldn’t have a hope of finding anywhere else.  

There’s a strong focus on vintage and antique items, but it’s so much more than that, and most definitely not just another antiques market.

At The Packhouse

You won’t want to rush your visit. Take all the time you need to browse at your leisure, and perhaps combine your shopping with breaks for refreshment at one of the on-site eating and drinking points. (It’s also worth signing up to our social media channels to get a feel for the just-in items.) Plus there’s a generous number of free parking spaces here.

Shop in-house

Hunt for that elusive perfect present for the person who seems to have everything. Pick up a novelty cake and a gorgeous, original card while you’re at it. Scan the antique and vintage treasures sourced from far and wide. Or consider a new item of furniture for your home, either something upcycled or something you can transform yourself and make your own. Hand-painted or solid wood, each piece is a delight and we have so many for you to look at, with their sources equally diverse.

If you’re after soft furnishings, check out our top-quality cushions, offered at surprisingly affordable prices. The devil is always in the detail, and we have throws, rugs and blankets and rugs to provide that perfect finishing touch or refresh the look of your home.

Finally, luxury doesn’t have to be confined to special occasions; it can be a daily experience in little things like fresh fruit juice or delightful honey. Or how about a hand-poured candle? We’ve got it all (and more) at The Packhouse.

We understand if you’re not able to get to us as often as you’d like in person to browse and see all our wonderful collections for yourself. Happily, you can see a huge selection of items online, many of which make superb gifts, and buy from our web store instead.

There are some truly gorgeous celebratory gift hampers, whether you’re treating new parents or your dad on Father’s Day. Our basket of goodies for the woman in your life, for example, contains decadent sweets and prosecco milk chocolate alongside heavenly hand cream, a mineral wax candle and a luxury reed diffuser, among many other treats. All are beautifully packaged in a wicker hamper, with sturdy buckle straps.

There are all sorts of other delights you can buy from us, from clotted cream shortbread, toffee and fudge to seriously posh marmalade, chutney, shortbread, biscuits and chocolate.

Our line-up of luxury candles and diffusers is another of our specialities. Additionally, from Jellycat London we offer an array of high-quality bashful bunnies featuring myriad colours and characters. We know they’re supposed to be toys, but they’re so soft and cuddly you might just be tempted to grab one for yourself!
